Audio Network Technology

Objectives 

This course seeks to develop essential skills in digital audio production in an applications-integrated network environment that links aspects of working with audio and video media, complementing other music production coursework. By the end of the course, students will gain the practical knowledge in the use of technology and systems application to digital audio and network technology, as well as the technical expertise to set up and troubleshoot the Dante® network.

Content

This course will introduce students to digital technology adoption, innovation, design and application of audio network technologies for recording studios, live sound, and broadcasting systems. Topics covered will include network principle, Audio Over Internet Protocol (AoIP), and streaming applications that is key to process improvement and optimisation to the digital network environment.

Entry Requirements

Have some working experience in the music industry/prior background of music-related activities

or/and

Passing of interview

  • Click ‘Browse Academic Modules/Short Courses’.
  • Select ‘Short Courses’ from the dropdown.
  • Click on the ‘By Faculty’ dropdown (first item under More Filters). Scroll to the bottom and select YST.
  • The list of our Short Courses should appear. Select your module and select ‘Add to Cart’.
  • Once you are done choosing modules (up to five), select ‘Checkout’.

You can then proceed to create an application account to submit your personal details.
