MUT3225: Teaching Music Online 2 (2 MCs)

2, 9, 16, 30 September 2021 (no class on 23rd due to Recess Week)
7, 14, 21, 18 October 2021
11 November 2021 (no class on 4th due to Public Holiday)

*Additional dates may be involved for projects/assessments during the semester period of 10 Aug – 4 Dec 2021.

Objectives
Building on the knowledge acquired in Teaching Music Online 1, learners will continue to apply and hone their pedagogical approaches to teaching music over the Internet, potentially utilising or even developing their own online platform in their own job roles as music educators.

Content
In the course, learners continue to practice what they have learnt through actual online teaching sessions. They will also learn to create their own online teaching platform and utilise social media to reach target audiences, especially in today’s context where social media is the dominant medium for information exchanges.

Registration opens on 28 April 2021 and closes on 6 June 2021.

  • Identify yourself from the dropdown options.
  • Select the ‘Short Course/Modular Course’ option (this is a modular course). Click ‘Applying for Myself’.
  • Click ‘Browse Academic Modules/Short Courses’.
  • Select ‘Academic Modules’ from the dropdown. Search for your module and select ‘Add to Cart’. Once you are done choosing modules (up to five), select ‘Checkout’.

You can then proceed to create an application account.
