Nicholas has had over 25 years of experience as a corporate lawyer; both in private practice, and capping a 20 year tenure at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as the Deputy General Counsel for Asia-Pacific. Since 2018, Nicholas serves as a director of family owned investment vehicle, PIFINvest Limited.

With a keen interest in education, the arts, food and travel: Nicholas has taught as an Adjunct Professor at the Legal Faculty of the National University of Singapore. He has also served as a Governor of the United World College of South East Asia. Awarded a music scholarship to The Leys School in England and later winning a choral scholarship at Cambridge University, he has been an Advisory Board Member of the Singapore Lyric Theatre and of the W!LD Rice theatre company. In 1999, Nicholas co-founded the restaurant business that was to become the Marmalade Group of Companies. Nicholas held seats on various group company boards, and during this period served as a Director of the Culinary Institute of America in Singapore. Nicholas is an active investor in various eco-travel initiatives, and currently sits as a Global Advisory Board Member of the Jane Goodall Institute.
