Calla Lim, an accomplished audio engineer based in Singapore, is actively involved in both the studio and live sound industry. Her skills are augmented by a strong classical music background, which has significantly contributed to her expertise as an engineer. During her time with Pavane Recording Studio from 2018 to 2022, she has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians and composers in the local music scene.

Throughout her career, Calla has taken on several notable studio projects, including her role as the lead sound engineer for a Dolby Atmos project, “Levels for Large Ensemble”, in 2023. Additionally, in 2019, she served as the assistant recording engineer for the album “Pieces of My Heart” by Ruvindi Jayakody. Furthermore, she was the post-production engineer for the film “Newborn”, commissioned for the Singapore International Film Festival in 2020, and MIDI programming engineer for “Dying Heart” by IMP ACT in 2021.

Calla has undertaken several significant live sound projects as well, such as serving as the Front of House Engineer for “Caucasian Chalk Circle” in 2018 and “Picasso’s Women” in 2017. In 2016, she assumed the role of monitor engineer for the production of “Cabaret – This is Me”.

Calla began her musical education at the age of 5, taking classical piano lessons from a private tutor. She earned an ABRSM Level 4 Diploma in Music Performance (Piano) and ABRSM Grade 8 in Theory. During her teenage years, she pursued formal studies in audio engineering and graduated with a Diploma with Distinction in Audio Production from LASALLE College of the Arts in 2018. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she furthered her studies at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Audio Arts and Sciences) with Highest Distinction in 2023.
