ABOUT THE EVENT
Members of OpusNovus and Wu Xian contemporary music ensembles perform the world premieres of new works by 8 participants from the YST Young Composers’ Academy (YCA). In its third year running, the Academy serves to support young, budding composers in Singapore between the ages of 15 to 21. Over a period of 2 months, the academy offers participants seminar instruction in contemporary composition and instrumental techniques as well as individual mentoring for the development of their new works. It culminates in this concert of world premieres.
