Creative Project Presentation
ABOUT THIS EVENT
Through a week-long series of creative workshops during orientation, with mentorship by Assoc Prof Ty Constant and visiting professor Karst De Jong, Conservatory freshmen collaborate on their first musical project to present a new compositional work based on improvisational styles.
This first noon recital of the semester will also feature first-year orchestral majors performing the first movement of Beethoven’s “Pastoral” Symphony, conducted by YST alumnus Wilson Ong, and vocal students in a performance mentored by Prof Alan Bennett.
