ABOUT THE EVENT
Pianist Eri Nakagawa explores the art of theme & variations, retelling the artistic legacy of Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and Clara Wieck (Schumann).
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Eri Nakagawa, a native of Osaka, Japan, has been on the piano faculty of College of Music, Mahidol University in Thailand since 1995. Prior to her appointment at Mahidol, she was Assistant Professor of Music Performance at Ball State University, Indiana, USA.
Thai pianist Nattapol Tantikarn has received awards in several piano competitions including the MTNA Young Artist Competition (Oregon and Northwest Division, USA), the 63rd Wideman International Piano Competition (Louisiana, USA) and was invited to participate in the 7th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition (Japan) and the 2015 Leeds International Piano Competition (UK). Nattapol Tantikarn holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance with supporting studies in Piano Pedagogy from the University of Oregon School of Music and Dance.
