ABOUT THIS EVENT
Conservatory pianists join forces once again as the YST Electone Orchestra to present a charming and unique collection of “B” composers and their early works. The programme begins with the haunting Adagio for Strings by Samuel Barber and continues with Britten’s Simple Symphony, written just two years earlier and drawing material from the works Britten composed at the tender ages of nine and twelve. The ensemble concludes the evening with Beethoven’s youthful Symphony No. 1, a longtime favourite with concert audiences.
