NUS bears a rich history, beginning as a medical college with 23 students established in 1905. Today, it is one of Asia’s leading universities with over 38,000 students across three campuses in Kent Ridge, Bukit Timah and Outram. A leading global university centred in Asia, NUS is widely respected as a dynamic and innovative institution and a pioneer of new approaches in education, research and enterprise. To that end, the university holds rich offerings in the arts, humanities, sciences, engineering and social sciences, from undergraduate through to the doctoral level.
Students studying at YST have the opportunity to stay on campus, where they enjoy the vibrancy of NUS student life. In addition, YST students take NUS classes outside of the Conservatory as part of degree requirements and can partake in the university’s broader academic offerings (e.g. double majors), gaining wider exposure to different fields of study.
