From playing the role of indispensable confidant, to being the messenger, to ‘running the show’ completely, the character of the maid or servant in operas is often an essential part of the drama. Join the YST Voice Studio with stage director Cherilyn Woo as we present scenes from several operas where the domestic help transcends their position to play a key, sometimes leading, role in the dramatic flow, often with hilarious results!
