ABOUT THE EVENT
After a series of preliminary rounds, where YST second and third-year students competed within their instrumental family groupings, the Conservatory Concerto Competition Semi-Finals brings together the first and second-placed musicians from each area, to compete for the opportunity to play their chosen concerto with the Conservatory Orchestra in August.
Each evening features five semi-finalists performing a complete work of their choice, accompanied by the piano. The event culminates with the announcing of three finalists by an international panel of judges.
