From the role of indispensable confidant, to messenger, to “running the show” completely, the characters of the maid and servant in operas are often an essential part of the drama.
Join the YST Voice Department as we present staged scenes from several operas where the domestic help transcends their position to play a key, sometimes leading role in the story, often with hilarious results!
