A committed educator, Meek has been an Artist Faculty of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore since 2003, and has given solo recitals and master classes throughout the world. Meek has worked personally and closely with contemporary composers such as Elliott Carter, Toru Takemitsu, Michael Colgrass, and John Harbison, and in 2008 made his solo debut with the Singapore Symphony performing the Asian premiere of the Pulitzer Prize-winning Trombone Concerto by American composer Christopher Rouse.
Meek can be heard on the Sony label with John Williams and the Boston Pops Orchestra, on the Centaur label as soloist with Frank Battisti and the New England Conservatory Wind Ensemble, and on the BIS label with Lan Shui and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
Meek is originally from Fairfax, Virginia, USA, and enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography in his spare time.
